ISM Alumni Association, Kolkata Chapter


Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad now renamed as IIT(ISM), Dhanbad with its pragmatic and innovative curriculum since its inception (in 1926) produced highly skilled Engineers, Scientists  and Technologists  whose contribution to Mineral Industries and Academics both in India and Abroad is remarkable. 


Indian School of Mines Alumni Association, Kolkata Chapter is an association of former students and former faculty members of now renamed IIT(ISM), Dhanbad staying in and around Kolkata, West Bengal,  registered under Society’s Act (Regn. No. S/1L/36745).  Since beginning  the Association set forth a number of  objectives towards wellness of Society and Alumni's, in particular. One such objective is propagation and dissipation  of knowledge specially related to mineral industries. Right from creating interest on Earth, Science amongst students at High School level, the Association has been regularly organizing Seminars/Symposium and Workshops on contemporary topics periodically. Since 2006 we have organized the following with resounding success:
